The Power Plant LLC ("we") runs thepowerplant.store and our cafés in Moss Landing, at Ryan Ranch in Monterey, and at Natividad in Salinas. This page explains what information we collect through this website and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Event sign-ups. If you join our events list, we keep the email address and first name you give us.
- Messages. If you call, email or message us, we keep what you send so we can reply.
- Basic site statistics. We count page views and clicks on buttons like Order, Call and Directions, along with the page, the site that referred you, and whether you're on a phone or computer. We don't use cookies for this and we don't store your IP address or anything that identifies you. Our web host also keeps standard server logs for security and reliability.
- Your pickup location. The site remembers which café you last picked for online ordering. That's saved only in your own browser.
Online orders and payments
Online ordering at order.thepowerplant.store is provided by Square. When you order, Square collects your name, contact details and payment information under Square's privacy notice. We never see or store your full card number.
How we use it
- To send event news you asked for. Reply or email us anytime to unsubscribe.
- To answer your questions and fill your orders.
- To understand which pages and menu items people use, so we can improve the site.
What we don't do
We don't sell or share your personal information, and we don't use it for targeted advertising. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Who helps us
We use a few service providers to run the site: Netlify (hosting), Supabase (our database), Square (ordering and payments) and Google Fonts. They handle data only to provide their service to us.
Your rights
California residents can ask us what personal information we hold about them, ask us to correct or delete it, and opt out of any sale or sharing (we don't sell or share). To make a request, or to get off our list, email info@thepowerplant.store or call (831) 453-0022. We'll respond within 45 days and won't treat you differently for asking.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
